The leapfrog funding provides the essential matching funding for organisations together with funding from the Arts Council National Lottery Arts Fund, DCAL and the arts organisations themselves to enable the upgrade of box office systems to include on line ticketing.

The project is being developed to address the need to introduce ticketing and marketing technologies to enable arts bodies to manage their sales and enable marketing efforts based on actual attendees. There is currently no comprehensive method in place that addresses this need. It will also enable the Arts Council and the other arts bodies to collect reliable data on attendees, attendances and sales, and facilitate greater marketing collaboration.
