Phil Nichol & Love The Concept

“This is comedy at its most eye-popping” The Guardian

“A genius of a show” The Herald

‘The face of an angel the tongue of a whore and the energy of a toddler on an Iron–Bru binge.’ The Times

Born in Scotland and raised in Canada, Phil Nichol’s stand-up has earned him huge critical acclaim and many awards, including the if. Comedy Award 2006. A Tasmanian devil with a guitar, his songs are wickedly funny and his improvisational skills superb. He has even been known to get naked on stage (and occasionally on TV, particularly during The Weakest Link). Never afraid to push the boundaries of comedy, Phil Nichol’s barnstorming routines are wildly funny and totally unpredictable: those with a heart condition be warned.

“The precociousness of McCauley Culkin, the foul mouth of Jerry Sadowitz and the singing voice of Ronan Keating” The Scotsman.

“The Boys (and girl) done good – Derry can hold its head high” Derry Journal
.
Cute, funny, shouty and sweary are all words that have been applied both individually and collectively to Derry’s very own Love The Concept who deliver up another wadge of deep fried, crispy battered comedy songs and sketches.

Is there any problem that a fry can’t cure? What will heaven really be like? How giant is a giant eye? What would you say if you ever met Bono? LTC are sure to have all the answers.
